The Forgotten Theatre series of ceramic wall pieces by Billy Harper is a beautiful representation of seven stunning theatres from Glasgow’s past. Billy Harper has created each theatre with the perfect amount of detail to highlight the features of their unique architectural designs. Using both glazes and scratch work, he has pulled out specific detailing in the facades, resulting in an ephemeral feeling of lost and vanishing histories.
We love this series by Billy Harper, and it alone is reason to visit the Project Ability gallery right now! However, it is just one collection amongst many wonderful artworks currently on show in The Ceramics Exhibition. With everyone in our studios being invited to be part of it, there is plenty of playful, beautiful and sometimes functional ceramic artworks. The show is open until the 24th of June and we are having a public reception on the evening of Thursday the 5th of June.
You can view the ‘Forgotten Theatre’ artworks in our online shop here.
