Walking Group visit Rebels and Renegades
On Wednesday 18th December the Walking Group took their last outing of 2024!
It’s been a fun year with lots of great exhibitions visited and we finished off strongly with 3 different shows. At Street Level Photoworks we saw ‘Rebels and Renegades’, a joint exhibit from Sheila Rock and Jill Furmanovsky. We got a wonderful talk from staff who highlighted that both were untrained music photographers getting their starts in the 1970’s and 80’s. Here they showcase amazing photos, many of famous people before they hit stardom. The show runs until 23rd February 2025.
We then visited Glasgow Print Studio for their annual members Christmas exhibition, a large scale show with almost 300 works this year there is a huge variety to see. The show runs until 1st February 2025.
We finally left Trongate 103 and headed to Cass Art to visit the current exhibition in The Art Space ‘The Accidental Artist’ by Billy Connolly! What a treat to finish the year out with. Billy’s work has always been funny and playful since he started to draw in 2007 and this free exhibition runs until 14th January 2025.
