It was another day of sunshine for our walking group last week and a good day to be outdoors.
The group met at the Lobey Dosser statue at Woodlands Road and made the short journey to the Woodlands community garden. There was quite a gathering when we arrived, as a group of people were meeting for a chat and drawing session.
They were very welcoming and gave us some information about the history of the garden and told us about some of the many things they get up to there. After a look around, we went to look at a set of artworks that were attached to the outside of the fence. These were created by local artist Janie Nicoll with groups from the nearby community.
It was thirsty weather so we finished up with some cups of tea at a nearby cafe and watched the world go by from our pavement table.
