After a two year hiatus Young Talent is back! It is a pleasure to be able to welcome our audiences back to what has always been a highlight in our exhibition calendar. We are super excited to open the gallery up once again to all of our young artists working in Project Ability’s Create studios. Although we’ve had opportunities for the young artists to exhibit in exhibitions over the last two years ( and many of them have!); we haven’t been able to have our ever popular Young Talent exhibition due to the pandemic.
Project Ability runs two different studio programmes for artists in the twenties and younger.
Create is for artists under the age of twenty one and Art Matters is open to artists aged from 21-28. We also run outreach programmes and this year we have work from two local schools in our Young Talent exhibition!
The sheer volume of artists in this show and the level of talent and imagination, combined with so many different mediums and styles, makes for an exciting atmosphere and a really fun gallery experience.
This exhibition also marks another celebratory moment for the Project Ability gallery. For the first time in over two years we are inviting the public in for a reception with the artists. This will take place on the opening day of the show, July 9th, from 1-3pm. Everyone is welcome and we will be serving light refreshments.
We’re so excited to have Young talent back again, and we can’t wait to hear what people think of the show. Please leave us your thoughts in our comments book if you come visit, or let us know online what you like most about Young Talent 2022!
