Aspire at Platform – Scaled Up

Crane of the Clyde (2018)

Andrew Boyle -Cityscape

It’s that time of year again, when we get the opportunity to share some of our artists’ biggest and best paintings! Our annual Platform show is always a highlight of Project Ability’s exhibition calendar. The artists in our Aspire programme rarely have the chance to exhibit large canvases, and that’s exactly what this exhibition is all about. Project Ability and Platform have had a working relationship now for several years, and many of our artists are regulars at the café and frequent visitors to the variety of events and shows that happen there in Easterhouse.

As always, we are excited about this show, and look forward to our group visit to Platform for the reception. If you haven’t been to Platform before it is well worth a visit. You can get the X19 bus straight there, there is also a large car park and the building is fully accessible.

The selection of canvases on display this year are all new, and they showcase the diverse talent and creativity we have here at Project Ability. From architecture to landscapes, expressive abstracts to exotic birds… and a few figurative pieces as well, this show really does highlight the artistic strength and ingenuity of many of the artists that work at the Project Ability studios. Most of the work will be for sale so if you are after a large original painting on canvas you need to see this exhibition!
