We are excited to announce a new exhibition of work by Gary Turner is now up at our favourite cafe and bar, Mono! Mono is just a few minutes walk from Project Ability in Glasgow Merchant City. For the next month a selection of paintings and prints by Gary Turner will be on show.
Gary uses his knowledge and love of contemporary comic and zine culture, fantasy sci-fi and animals from the natural world to inspire his work. Gary’s paintings often have a softness to them, transforming animal, plant, people and places into gentle, captivating beings and other worldly existences. Wolves and Japanese inspired landscapes are regular themes in his work taking inspiration from Katsushika Hokusai Japanese woodblock prints.
