Iain Doak, Lennox Castle – Artwork of the week #26

This week’s ‘Artwork of the Week’ is a 3D ceramic miniature Lennox Castle, created by one of our 'Lennox Castle Stories' participants, Iain Doak.

Iain was a resident at Lennox Castle from 1980 at the age of 16, until 1988.

Iain spent several weeks making this wonderfully quirky version of the castle and went on to make some people out of plasticine, clay and wire which were animated going in and out of the structure.

The detail he has put into the castle, down to the many windows, the brickwork and even a resident with his own tiny zimmer shows creativity and an admirable amount of patience and skill.

We love Iain’s work and hope you enjoy it too!  You can see more of the ‘Lennox Castle Stories’ work in our forthcoming exhibition, which will preview on Thursday 23rd October 10am till 11am, and will run until 28th October 2012, in the Trongate103 foyer.
