Our walking group has been continuing with their coasts and waters project with some more visits to the canal and some afternoons in the studios. Their individual and collaborative projects are beginning to take shape and we’re looking forward to seeing what they produce for their exhibition.
Appropriately enough as they have been visiting the Claypits Nature Reserve, a couple of projects have begun using clay with pieces also in progress using printmaking, photography and digital drawing. On the last couple of visits some of the group also made some lumen prints, a technique which uses sunlight to develop images onto photographic paper.
After a few sessions in the studios the group will be visiting the Claypits again soon.
