Afternoon at the Barras by Dylan Lombard is our artwork of the week.
Dylan Lombard’s photograph captures the Barras barren, only two figures visible against the shuttered buildings. Taken during the pandemic, Dylan uses shadow and light to tell a story: it feels that what we are seeing here is a bright sky chasing the shadows away. Vibrant colours dominate, causing the darkness to recede. The message feels hopeful.
