Our group had an interesting local outing last week with a short wander to see ‘Topspin’, an exhibition of a variety of customised table tennis paddles, crafted by contributing artists and on display in South Block gallery. After a look at the many varied creations, some of our group enjoyed a play on the table tennis table with bats and balls provided. Great fun!
A short walk from here took us to Nemo Arts to see ‘Spectrum’, an exhibition of photographs by ReConnect artist James Ross Hamilton. James has been taking part in a course with Impact Arts who have supported him to create his first solo exhibition of images, most of which were created in the Project Ability studios. James spoke to us about his practice and the methods used to make his colourful images.
Unfortunately the South Block exhibition has now finished but you might just catch James show Monday 28th or Tuesday 29th April 12 – 4pm at Nemo Arts, 141 Bridgegate, G1 5HZ Nemo Arts – Improving Mental Health and Wellbeing
