A Year at Home

A self portrait of a man wearing a face mask with sharp monster teeth

It has now been a full year since we closed our studio, gallery and office and started working from home. The absolute quality of creativity we have witnessed in the past year exemplifies that art is an essential part of our lives. It has been a privilege to support the artists – our zoom buddies and phone buddies.

We have had to adapt to continue working with our artists through the pandemic, with our tutors taking to Zoom to deliver classes; socially distant art supply drops; mountains of postcard art; and virtual exhibitions.

We are so proud of our staff, tutors, artists and supporters who have helped us navigate our way through this troubled year. Art has the power to transform us.

As Time Stood Still

Despite a difficult year, creativity endured, with 34 artists showing work in our online exhibitions ‘As Time Stood Still’ Parts One & Two.

Postcard Project

In addition to reaching out to people digitally, we sent our artists blank stamped and addressed postcards which they beautified and returned to us. We have now accumulated a large collection of postcard art, which we are sharing regularly on our blog and social media!

 Online Tutorials & Activities

Our superstar tutors have adapted brilliantly to the circumstances of the past twelve months, reaching out to people online and by phone, and continuing to support our artists’ creativity! You can join in with some of our tutors’ exercises on YouTube.
