This week we have a lovely piece of ceramics as our Artwork of the Week! ‘Yellow Shark’ was created by Ryan Coyle, a young artist in Project Ability’s Create programme. This sculpture is currently on show in our gallery as part of our Young Talent 2022 exhibition! Ryan Coyle loves working with clay, and he loves sea creatures! Over the years we have seen a wonderful collection of his sharks, seals, puffer fish, whales and underwater sea life.

We love these fish and sea mammals, especially the way the artist has painted them with such bold colours and detail. Come by the gallery to have a look at the show if you haven’t been yet, the gallery is full of amazing artworks created by young artists from Project Ability and also artists from some of our out reach workshops. Young Talent is an annual show which celebrates young artists and it is always a joy to see all of the artworks together in one space.
