Lockdown Postcards by Doreen Kay

One of the ways Project Ability is keeping in touch with our artists is via the old fashioned, traditional postcard. We’ve been posting stamped and addressed postcards to artists, asking them to make a picture and post it back to us. We’ve amassed quite a collection of them now, and we want to share some of our favourites with you over the following weeks.

First up we have the talented Doreen Kay! Doreen is one of our most prolific artists, with a wide range of subject matter in her portfolio! In addition to being a regular exhibitor with Project Ability, Doreen has also had much success selling her original artworks, painted tote bags and other lovely artworks in our gallery shop. She also invigilates in our gallery and shop during normal times when we are open. We can’t wait to have you back Doreen! Thanks so much for sending us the postcards. We’ll keep adding to Doreen’s postcard collection as we get more. So bookmark this blog!

You can see more of Doreen Kay’s work on her webpage and in our most recent online exhibition, ‘As Time Stood Still, Part Two’.

If any artists out there want to send us your own hand-made postcard we would love to see them!
