Project Ability Walking Group Visit Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre
There is so much going on in our building at Trongate 103 that sometimes we don’t need to venture outside at all to find interesting things to look at and discuss. We’ve recently had visits to Street Level, Glasgow Print Studios and of course our own wonderful Project Ability gallery to see the frequently changing exhibitions. One place we hadn’t been to as a group before was Sharmanka and several of our regular group were keen to see what goes on there. We arranged for a group visit and what a treat it was. There is so much to see in the wonderful sculptures before the show even starts, and then when it does, the pieces one by one spring into life for their mechanical performances. Not only is the show a visually stunning treat, but the wonderful music that accompanies each piece adds to the emotional responses they invoke.
There are daily shows in Sharmanka and details can be found on their website Home – Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre.
