Our group visited a trio of galleries for this outing, starting off with a visit to our neighbours in Street Level Photoworks to see ‘Glaswegians’ , an exhibition of photographs, posters and banners by Cranhill Arts, Alistair McCallum and Jane Carrol. We were given a tour of the show by Iseult and one of our group noticed that Project Ability got a mention on a poster from the 1990 event ‘A Day for Scotland’ which took place in Stirling.
Next stop was The Briggait to see two exhibitions of prints: ‘All the live murmur of a summer’s day’ by Malcolm S Dobson and ‘Birds, Flowers, Moon, Kimono’ by Megumi Barrington Uenoyama. Our final stop was at South Block for ‘Flow’ by Karolina Franceschini.
You can see a walkthrough of the Street Level exhibition at Glaswegians – Cranhill Arts, Alistair McCallum & Jane Carroll or visit in person up until 5th October. Further information can be found here: Glaswegians – Cranhill Arts – Street Level Photoworks
