The “We Are One” Festival of Citizenship is taking place in Glasgow on 9th and 10th August this year. It will be a celebration of inclusive citizenship and the possibilities of a world where everyone matters – without exception. This is a Citizen Network event supported by ENABLE Scotland and In Control Scotland.

About the festival
On Saturday 10th August the We are one Festival will have full programme of events from morning until early evening. The Strathclyde Student Union will again provide the main venue, but several additional venues will be in use throughout the day between there and the river Clyde, taking in the area known as the “Merchant City”. The programme will contain a varied mixture of music, dance, drama, poetry, debate, discussion, and the testing out of new ideas. There will be plenty to eat and drink and an inclusive invitation to all who are interested in celebrating equality amid diversity.
The festival will have 7 zones mirroring Citizen Network’s 7 keys to citizenship – Love, Life, Home, Freedom, Help, Purpose and Money – the very basic things we all need to play our full part in our local communities and within society more generally.
Entry to the Festival will be free of charge.
