Artist talk & reception – John McNaught

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday night for the reception we held in the gallery for our current exhibition, a solo show of paintings by John McNaught. It was a brilliant turn out and we are delighted that a great number of McNaught’s paintings found homes among our guests!

John McNaught joined us, along with his wife, two children and grandson. Many of John’s friends, both from Project Ability and beyond, came along to celebrate with us, as well as two of the rehabilitation nurses who first worked with John after his stroke. It was truly a lovely evening with so many people celebrating John’s artistic practice. With over two hundred of his small oil paintings on board hanging in the gallery, there was a lot to speak about.

We’d like to thank John for sharing some of his thoughts about painting with everyone, and taking the time to answer some questions. We’d also like to thank John’s wife Patricia, and their children, for the support and encouragement given to John to develop his painting. We look forward to watching his practice continue to flourish.
