Portrait drawings for Creative Scotland’s Parliamentary Reception!
We were delighted to be invited by Creative Scotland to their parliamentary reception for MSPs which took place on Tuesday 20th February. A small group from Project Ability (Elisabeth – Director, Celine – ReConnect tutor, Sian – ReConnect Artist and Lindsay – Create Artist) travelled through to the Scottish Parliament Building in Edinburgh. Sian and Lindsay were on hand to draw quick portraits of some of the attendees who came over to chat, including Karen – director at Independance, Labour MSP – Pam Duncan-Glancy who has previously visited our studios and met with our artists and Glasgow-based platform for drag kings ‘Shut up and King’. The event showcased the quality, scope, scale and diversity of the arts in Scotland.
Other performers and exhibitors included ConFAB, Stellar Quines, Ando Glaso Collective, Atlas Arts, Be United, Creative Dundee, Laura Spring, Luminate and Stampalofi
