Artist Spotlight: Leslie Thompson

Leslie Thompson is one of three artists who were due to exhibit their work in an exhibition at Project Ability called ‘It’s in the detail’. It was part of Glasgow International 2020, which due to current circumstances has been postponed. To celebrate each of the artists’ work and commitment to preparing for the exhibition we will be highlighting each artist. For the last week, it’s the wonderful Leslie Thompson.

Leslie Thompson, an established artist within the disability arts scene, works out of the support studio Venture Arts in Manchester. Leslie creates large-scale drawings, often live at events, bringing a unique experience for audiences. Thompson’s self-titled name is Superstar Artist Drawer and we absolutely love this picture taken at the recent exhibition ‘Thumbs up at Castlefield Gallery’

Hopefully Leslie will be able to exhibit at Project Ability in the near future!
