Will Starr, accordionist from Croy, is the subject of this striking portrait by Cameron Morgan.
Crisp, confident lines lead the eye from the hairs of the knee to the piercing blue eyes, following the purple checks of tartan and the fanning bellows of the instrument.
The deep teal and red are reminiscent of traditional velvets worn by lassies dancing highland flings, which contrast pleasingly with the modern-feeling yellow and purple tartan Starr wears on his kilt.
