Artwork of the Week features this large painting on canvas by Aspire artist Tommy Mason. ‘John Wayne and Clint Eastwood tracking the baddie’ is a brand new canvas, just finished this month. Tommy Mason works in a variety of scales and mediums, and we are always excited to see him working large. Using an assortment of mediums on his canvases, Mason often mixes pen work with acrylic; creating a beautiful textural quality to the work. His unique use of colours are evidence that the artist is an experienced and skilled painter. You can find more of Mason’s work on his web page. Definitely worth a look! Tommy Mason also has a few small paintings in our current ’30×30′ exhibition, here at our gallery in Trongate 103.
