OUT 2025, in Montreal!

We are very excited to announce we have 5 artists from Project Ability included in a stunning exhibition in Montreal, at the Galerie C.O.A.!

Ryan Jago, Tommy Mason, Michael McMullen, Struan Robb, Martin Sloss

The C.O.A Contemporary Art Gallery opened its doors in Montreal in May 2014. While the gallery strives to discover new talents, it’s also committed to exhibiting the work of artists with intellectual and physical disabilities known as “outsiders.” The gallery is home to a roster of both Canadian and international artists, playing on established conventions and the perception they can bring to them. What they all have in common: an unusual creation, hence the name of the gallery: “Créateurs d’Œuvres Atypiques” (creators of atypical works).

“Enriched by the work of 18 neuroatypical artists from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Cuba, this exhibition marks the fourth edition of its kind at C.O.A. Gathered around the theme of landscape, the productions – drawings, paintings, sculptures, assemblages and photographs – fully assume their eclecticism, in the image of their authors, and celebrate art brut in all its power. Mental palaces made visible, each work becomes the expression of an intimate panorama. It is a look at the action of creating in its most spontaneous form, an art through which everyone finds their place.”
