Walking Group in The Teardrop Explodes
On Wednesday the 29th May the Walking Group were in Paisley to see ‘The Teardrop Explodes‘. This multi artist exhibition is at The Art Department inside Paisley shopping centre. It is a look at Paisley Pattern through fabric history and into contemporary art. Artists Lil Brookes, Marion Gardyne, Hector Dyer and Lilja Husmo worked with other artists and community groups to curate this large scale show.
Project Ability are one group having 6 artists featured; Judith Abubakar, Coco, Pauline Jackson, Stuart Low, Amna Sharif and Martin Sloss. There are over 200 individual artists and workshop participants featured and many different things to see. Prints, wallpaper, textiles, paintings, ceramics and even dolls.
The exhibition runs until 28th June.
