Walking Group in workshop with Cath Keay
On Wednesday 15th of May the Walking Group took part in a workshop run by Cath Keay. Cath has been researching the work of Art Extraordinary artist Antonia Jabloner. She will be continuing to work with us during Glasgow International when the walking group are invited to Glasgow University for the afternoon to continue and show their work in response to Antonia. We worked on a variety of textile pieces using thread and materials to create several very different works. Some of us used Antonia’s architectural drawings as a foundation to work on, responding by sewing over or around her original marks. Some of this work will be available to view at the Byres Community Hub on the afternoon of June 13th.
