The walking group explore the GoMA
The Project Ability Walking Group has returned to Wednesday afternoons and after a hiatus we are very glad to be back! This week on Wednesday the 3rd May we started close to home with a trip to GoMA (Gallery of Modern Art) via The Ramshorn graveyard. We got some fresh air and took in some of the old gravestones before heading to GoMA to see the exhibition by Helen de Main and Mandy McIntosh. Repeat Patterns consists of work surrounding women’s rights presented mainly in the medium of printmaking, but also fabric, paper and sculpture. Currently exhibited on the second floor, in three distinct areas it is a fabulous exhibit to visit and is on until mid October. We also had a general look around at some of the more permanent works on display and all stopped to watch Peter Fischli and David Weiss’ The Way Things Go, their excellent video installation of a Rube Goldberg machine.
